New indexing spring plungers

SUPER-technopolymer PMT and GN 817 plungers add on to ELESA’s wide product range.
PMT.100 and PMT.101: brand-new indexing spring plungers in special technopolymer.
As a result of ELESA’s R&D efforts in the testing and use of high mechanical-performance materials, the PMT range consists of brand-new indexing spring plungers with threaded body in special technopolymer. Metal components now only include the plunger, available in black-oxide steel with hardened end or in AISI 303 stainless steel, as well as the inner spring also in AISI 302 stainless steel.
Main highlights of PMT:
- corrosion resistance
- lightweight and sturdiness, due to high performing materials and reduced weight
- low friction coefficient in plunger stroke, avoiding seizing
- lowest wear and tear of the stop toothing in retracted position, due to its fitting on the threaded body, both made of technopolymer
Available without (PMT.100) or with (PMT.101) rest position. PMT plungers are recommended for use where positioning operations are required and in those applications where the plunger needs to be locked in the retracted position.

GN 817: the evolution of traditional GN 617 indexing spring plungers.
Made of black-oxide steel or AISI 303 stainless steel, they feature a nickel pin and reinforced plunger (black-oxide steel model), with technopolymer knob.
The pin and knob coupling system offers GN 817 plungers the following advantages:
- two different strokes are available for every plunger diameter, offering the customer more freedom of choice
- compactness, with threaded body of same length
- retracted rest position mechanism inside the knob
- fixed knob
GN 817 plungers are available with or without each of the following: locking nut, retracted rest position, and knob.
